Every year Iceland holds a Charity Amateur Golf Day and Gala Dinner - and few events better demonstrate our long-held belief that there are no more natural partners than fundraising and fun!

The event is a highlight in the calendar of our suppliers, who loyally support it year after year. With their help, in just 24 days, we have raised more than £3.x million for charity. Funds are raised for the Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation, with pledges made to our Charity of the Year and other good causes we support. Many charities have benefited from the event over the years, including Alder Hey Children’s Charity, Help for Heroes, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Prostate Cancer UK, The Royal British Legion, the Defence & National Rehabilitation Centre and UCL Dementia Research

In 2016, after a great day of golf at Carden Park in Cheshire, we held our Gala Dinner at the nearby home of Iceland’s Founder & CEO Malcolm Walker, which enabled us to welcome more guests than ever before to this keenly anticipated and always oversubscribed event.

What makes the event so special?

This year’s event will be extra special and not just because it is our 25th anniversary. We are moving to an exciting new venue at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, which hosted the Ryder Cup on 2010, guaranteeing an absolutely world class day of golf to all our players, in an 18 hole Shambles Stableford competition on either the 2010 or Roman Road courses.

Celtic Manor also has a superb Spa, so for the first time we are able to offer a Spa package for non-golfers.

The day will conclude with a Champagne reception before our biggest and best-ever Gala Dinner, with some truly amazing and unforgettable entertainment.
